Jacob's August 2002 Updates...

Tuesday, August 27 - What a busy month it has been since our last update. Jacob finished summer school day camp and has now started the fall semester of preschool. He seems to like it very much and has one of the same teachers (Miss Cole) that he had during the summer. He has been the "class helper", "lunch helper", etc. and his teacher says that he is wonderful in class (always helping the other kids/teacher, etc.)

There are several pictures in this month's update, including some left over from our trip to WV in May for Aunt Erin's wedding, as well as a few of Great-Granddad Okey, Grandma Sharon and Aunt Barbara's visit in July.

The family has had more than its share of colds and doctor visits this summer. Jacob has had 2 rounds of pink eye and ear infections. Daddy and Mommy have both been sick and Nana even had pink eye! Hopefully everyone is about over this mess and can look forward to once again all being well. Other than that, Jacob continues to grow and is now in week 2 of potty training. He is doing very well so far and has only had a few minor accidents. His teacher says he is doing really well with it during the day at school and we are all very proud of him.

This past weekend a new friend showed up in our yard... Mr. Quackers (a baby duck). We aren't sure where he came from but there are several ducks that come to the pond next door. He is very friendly and has no fear of humans. He likes Jacob the best and will follow him around the yard and in the pool. There are several pictures of him swimming with Jacob in this month's picture update. In addition to the duck, our yard now has a playset for Jacob with a ladder and slide. Our neighbor has been helping us resod the backyard, etc. and it is starting to look nice again after the past few years of drought.

That's about it for this month. Oh, Daddy has actually got his computer hooked back up and the video editing software loaded... he thinks he will be able to get some video clips of Jacob up shortly. Keep your fingers crossed!
