Jacob's February 2000 Updates...

Monday, Feb. 7 - What a crazy month since our last update... It's been a series of "ups and downs"! On the "up" side, Jacob is growing and doing very well. He went for his latest doctor visit last week and got more immunization shots, etc. (check the Fun Facts page for details on Jacob's current size). He didn't cry at all for the first shot but announced himself to the world on the second shot. The doctor says he is doing fine and is letting him start on juice and some cereal mixed in with his formula. Also, last month he got to meet a lot of his cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. and his Great-Granddad Okey and Great-Grandma Katy (Memaw). Of course, the circumstances under which he got to meet everyone was on the "down" side as we lost Jacob's Great-Uncle Alvin (Grandma Sharon's oldest brother, Alvin Jack) due to a massive heart attack in mid January. Jacob, Mommy and Daddy made a quick trip to W.Va. for the funeral over the M.L.K. Jr. holiday weekend. This trip also allowed Jacob to see SNOW for the first time! Five inches fell overnight on the way back to FL and we had to stop at a motel for the night. Jacob did very well on the trip and even stuck to his schedule for eating and sleeping through the night. Mommy and Daddy are finally recovering from the whirl-wind of the last few weeks and hope to have something of a "normal" schedule at least for a while.

Daddy has finally uploaded some new pictures of Jacob from when his Uncles Kelly and John were down over New Years and from his trip to W.Va. Look for more new pictures soon as Daddy has 2 rolls of film to get developed and several pictures to scan and upload. We hope everyone is doing well and keeping warm this winter and we hope to see you all again real soon...
