Tuesday, September 5 - Jacob has mastered crawling and is very close to walking! He can pull himself up to a full standing position and is starting to walk around things (his bed, coffee table, etc.) while holding on. He loves to walk around the house while holding on to your finger tips. He especially likes to go look at himself in the bathroom mirrors. He also loves going into the game room to look at Daddy's guitars. Speaking of guitars, it is now a daily ritual for him to "play" on Daddy's acoustic guitar each evening before going to bed. Mommy has also started introducing him to her piano. He seems to really like music and loves to hum thru his kazoo.
Jacob now has 8 teeth and is working on another one. He can say "momma", "dada", "bottle", "up" and Daddy thinks he is working on "guitar" and "Patches" (one of our cats). He is eating just about everything (most fruits and vegetables, some meat, bread, etc.). He still takes a few bottles each day but is in the process of switching over to whole milk. He is getting better with his sippy cup and feeding himself with his hands.
His favorite show is Bear In The Big Blue House on the Disney network. He also likes Rollie Pollie Ollie, Out of the Box, the Teletubbies, etc. He even has a Bear costume for Halloween next month. He is wearing 24 month clothes, shoes size 6-7, etc. He is a big boy and seems to be built just like his Daddy - long trunk, shorter legs, bigger feet, big head.
This month Daddy is going out of town (for work) for the first time since Jacob was born and we will see how well everyone does - Daddy missing Jacob, Jacob missing "guitar time", etc. with Daddy, and Mommy without Daddy on night duty with the boy. Daddy wanted to get this latest update (with over 30 new pictures) on the web before he left town. Next month he will have lots of great stuff to post since Jacob will be turning 1 year old on October 1st! He is still working on getting video clips of Jacob on this web site soon (he is closer - the video camera is hooked to the computer and has been tested!)
