Year 2000 (Y2K) Compliance Statement for the Agency Calculator™ version 1.5

McQuain & Associates, Inc. has tested the Agency Calculator™ on a variety of computer systems and has found the program to be "Year 2000 Compliant" (i.e., the program will operate in the manner in which it was designed for and will correctly calculate amounts, percentages, and dates) provided the user is running version 1.5b (or higher) of the product (the version number can be found on the About Agency Calculator™ screen located under the Help menu) and the user's computer is running the following versions of the shared Microsoft DLL files:

DLL files located in your Windows\System folder:
msabc200.dll (version 2.03)
msajt200.dll (version 2.50.1606)

DLL file located in your MBMSoft folder where you installed the Agency Calculator™:
msaju200.dll (version 2.50.2819)

Furthermore, in order to be considered Y2K Compliant, the program must be operated in the manner in which it was designed as outlined in the Quick Reference Guide that accompanied the program. The following excerpt from this guide details the proper user input requirements for entering dates within the Agency Calculator™.

Entering Dates
Dates can be entered using a variety of text and numeric formats. The Agency Calculator™ will automatically format your input into the mm/dd/yyyy format for displaying and printing dates. Dates can be entered in any of the following formats.

* 12/31 or 12-31
* Dec 31 or Dec. 31 or December 31

You can include the year (either in the 97 or 1997 format) with any of the above date formats.

To ensure Year 2000 Compliance, when entering dates for the year 2000 and beyond), you MUST enter all four digits for the year (i.e., enter "3/5/2001" and NOT "3/5/01").

Please note that the Agency Calculator™ is based on a 365-day year. Therefore, when entering Cancellation and/or Expiration Dates which fall within a leap year, you will not be able to enter a date that is greater than 365 days from the Effective Date (i.e., since 1996 is a leap year, entering an Effective Date of 1/1/96 would require you to enter the Expiration Date as 12/31/96 instead of 1/1/97). This 365-day rule is the same as when using "the wheel" to calculate percentages since "the wheel" is also based on a 365-day year.

NOTE: Since the year 2000 is a leap year, dates spanning February 29, 2000 are subject to the 365-day year as outlined above (e.g., entering an Effective Date of 12/31/1999 would require you to enter an Expiration Date as 12/30/2000 instead of 12/31/2000).

If your copy of the Agency Calculator™ does NOT meet the Y2K compliance requirements listed above please contact McQuain & Associates, Inc. for an update to your software. Furthermore, since computer software can be affected by your computer hardware's ability to handle dates correctly, you should ensure that your computer's clock, BIOS, etc. are Year 2000 Compliant. Please check with your computer's manufacturer regarding hardware compliance. McQuain & Associates, Inc. is in no way responsible for and cannot be held liable for any Y2K compliance issues resulting from non-complaint computer hardware and/or any software other than the Agency Calculator™.
